Item Description:
This is an original WWII Japanese Cavalry troopers NCO Saber from World War 2. The blade is in
MINTY
condition and the mountings are in
Excellent
condition. The blade is 33 inches long (84cm) and has a fuller the entire length of the blade. The hilt is metal and the stampings are visible. The grip is checkered wood. There is a leather finger loop on the grip. The spring clip on the hilt has been shortened. The scabbard is metal and shows no dents but a healthy layer of oxidation and patina. The blade is in
MINTY
condition. There are no nicks, no rust, and few if any scratches along its length. The blade is immaculate and there is residual cosmolene inside the scabbard that helped keep it in this condition. The blade and the scabbard are matching numbered 85712. I think this Cavalry Saber would be an
outstanding
addition for a collection of WW2 militaria or Japanese swords.
