Rare MUSEUM OF APPALACHIA 2004 TN Fall Homecoming Guitar Tack Pin

WELCOME!
For your consideration, here is a 2004 souvenir from the Museum of Appalachia located in Clinton, Tennessee. The Museum was founded in 1969 and was accepted as a Smithsonian Affiliate in 2007. The museum portrays an authentic mountain farm and pioneer village and includes an extensive collection of artifacts.
The pin commemorates the Tennessee Fall Homecoming, an annual festival started in 1980 to celebrate the music and culture of Southern Appalachians, which grew over the years into a multi-day event. The 38
th
and final Homecoming was held in 2017.
The pin is rendered in gold tone metal in the shape of a guitar accented with brown and black enamel. The pin reads “Museum of Appalachia – 2004 – TN FALL HOMECOMING.” The pin has a single prong and clutch back. The back of the pin identifies the manufacturer and states that the pin was made in Taiwan. Please see photos for the specifics of the design.
The pin measures approximately 1 1/2 inches tall by a bit over 5/8 inch wide. The pin is in very good pre-owned condition, in need of cleaning. Please refer to my photos, which are an integral part of my description.
