Description

This somewhat scarce Masonic coin (penny or token) is a souvenir of the 1909 centennial of the St. Lawrence Chapter No. 24 R. A. M. in Potsdam, New York - a chapter no longer listed among active chapters.  The obverse identifies the chapter and has
the words
ONE PENNY
in the center.  The reverse has
a large image of an ornate keystone image, the word
CENTENIAL
(
sic
), and the dates 1809-1909.
The diameter i
s approximately 35 mm (1-3/8"), and, according to references, the composition is either bronze, brass, or copper - but appears to be bronze.
This item is in very fine condition, with fairly light actual wear and toning (deep brown).
The illustrations in this listing are photos of the actual item being offered for sale, serving as part of the description.  NOTE: The photos are not good.  The actual token has more detail, has a much more even deep brown color, is brighter, and is much more attractive than in the photos.
