    This is an
ORIGINAL WORLD II LAST DITCH TYPE 30 JAPANESE ARISAKA BAYONET & SCABBARD
. (Inv. no. 0555) It is about 19 3/4 inches long with a 15 1/4 inch unfullered blade. This was for model 1897 (type 20) 1905 (Type39) 1939 (type 99) Arisaka rifle and carbine. It was a late WWII “LAST DITCH” bayonet. It is marked with an arsenal mark similar but not the same as Jinsen Rikugun Zohsisho on the ricasso. The end of the pommel is marked ?? 43168 over ?? . The bayonet and scabbard are in good to very good condition with some signs of age and use. The scabbard has a crack and one of the grips has some dings and dents. This is outside my area of collecting and expertise and I have relied on references books and the internet. Please email any questions. Starting price is .95. Shipping weight is 3 pounds 8 ounces.
