This is an official NASA patch from Willabee & Ward's America's Great Space Missions collection. The 1962 Mercury 6 Friendship Mission carried astronaut John Glenn to become the first US astronaut to orbit Earth. This item includes the emblem which has never been removed from its plastic holder, and the Mercury 6 information sheet. The page including the plastic sleeve it is in measures 13" x 9.25."
