The design of the Writers Edition Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Limited Edition is inspired by Night Flight, based on Saint-Exupéry’s experiences as an airmail pilot (he was both a commercial pilot an a fighter pilot in the French Air Force during World War II).
The shape of the pen is reminiscent of the Caudron Simoun plane he flew, with engravings on the deep-blue resin barrel and cap that recall the rivets of the aircraft.
The cockpit of the plane serves as inspiration for the platinum-coated fittings.
And in recognition of Saint-Exupéry’s world travels, the cone of the pen is engraved with the geographic position of the important cities where he spent time.
The cap is engraved with Saint-Exupéry’s signature.
