    Description

    This is a Japanese WWll sword in civillian mountings.   The blade is signed "Seki ju Kanehide saku kore 関住兼秀作之", dated Showa Jukyu-nenHachi-gatsu hi (a day August, 1944) 昭和十九年八月日" with star stamp,

    Kanehide`s real name is Nakata Isamu, born in 1913, lived in Seki city, Gifu prefecture, made swords during WWll time period and after the war as a Gendaito swordsmith, listed in John Slough`s book page 41, 42 and rated 2 Million yen.     The blade is traditional hand forged, water quenched Gendaito blade, in old polish, no rust, no stain and in excellent condition.       The temper line is wavy

    temper and has deep temper at the point.       There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp.  The scabbard is WWll time made lacquered wood scabbard, no dent, no crack, no bend and in good condition.     The handle is tight fit with iron
