    This is a Japanese WWll Army officer`s sword in mountings.   The blade is signed "Noshu Seki ju Kaneuji kitae (forged) kore 濃州 関住兼氏鍛之",
    shinogi-zukuri
    shape, WWll time period ca.1940 era made blade.
    Kaneuji, lived in Seki city, Gifu prefecture, made swords during WWll time and after the war, listed in John Slough`s book page 72.       The blade traditional hand forged, water quenched blade, in old polish, no rust, no stain and in good condition.       The temper line is wavy

    active temper pattern and has deep temper at the point.       There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp.       The scabbard is metal scabbard, no dent, no bend and in good condition.     The handle is tight fit,
    tsuka-ito
    wrapping shows partially rewrapped but no cut, no loose and in good condition.
    Tsuba
    and
    seppa
    are matched 5 stamped.    Lock mechanism works fine.      It measures 27+3/4" tip to the guard, 26+7/8" cutting edge, 1+5/16" width, 7.5 mm thickness at the notch and 40+3/4" in mountings.       Shipping is priority in U.S.   No international shipping.  Payment dues within 3 days auction end.
