    This is a Japanese WWll Army officer`s sword in mountings.   The blade is signed "Toto ju Fujiwara Sukeyuki saku 東都住藤原介之作", dated "Showa Jushichi-nen Hachi-gatsu kichi jitsu (lucky day August, 1942) 昭和十七年八月吉日",

    Sukeki`s real name is Yamamura Shinnosuke, born in 1897, lived in Tokyo, made swords during WWll time period and after the war, listed in John Slough`s book page 166.     The blade is traditional hand forged, water quenched Gendaito blade, in old polish, shows fine scratches but no rust, no stain and in good condition.       The temper line is wavy
    gunome
    temper and has deep temper at the point.       There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp.  The scabbard is lacquered heavy metal scabbard, no dent, bend and in good condition.     The handle is tight fit,
    tsuka-ito
    wrapping is no cut no loose and in good condition.       Tsuba, seppa and lock pin are matched number 208 stamped.  Lock mechanism works fine.         It measures 28" tip to the guard, 27+1/2" cutting edge, 1+1/8" width, 6.5 mm thickness at the notch and 40+1/2" in mountings.       Shipping is priority in U.S.   No international shipping.  Payment dues within 3 days auction end.
