    Description

    This is a Japanese WWll Army officer`s sword in combat mountings.   The blade is signed "Tachibana 立花",
    shinogi-zukuri
    shape, WWll time period ca.1940 era made blade.
    The blade is traditional hand forged, water quenched Gendaito blade, in old polish, shows fine scratches but no rust, no stain and in good condition.       The temper line is wavy
    notare
    with
    yakidashi
    temper and has deep temper at the point.       There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp.  The scabbard is leather covered wood scabbard, shows aged scratches but no tear, no crack, no bend and in good condition.     The handle is tight fit,
    tsuka-ito
    wrapping is no cut, no loose also in good condition.           It measures 28" tip to the guard, 27+1/2" cutting edge, 1+1/8" width, 7 mm thickness at the notch and 39+1/4" in mountings.       Shipping is priority in U.S.   No international shipping.  Payment dues within 3 days auction end.
