This is an original Japanese WWII Samurai Sword 9” Miniature Pre 1945 brought back by a 8th regiment 1st US Cavalry veteran who brought this back at wars end he stated after fighting in the Pacific his unit was tasked to guard Hirohito who was on suicide watch that this was one of Horohito’s small sword

used as a letter opener this has the
Chrysanthieum
on the handle on both sides this takes down like a samurai sword nest intricate parts a few dings on scabbard this has markings on tang but can’t make it out the flag and holster are for display not for sale used as backdrop vet stated that was his units job only hand picked vet became police officer a chief after the war will give vets name etc to highest bidder
