Japanese WW2 US Bringback Officers Wakizashi Sword

This sword is in spectacular condition. The scabbard is in great condition and is fully intact, only a few chips have come off as pictured. The burgundy paint has not faded and still looks amazing. The loop also is in great condition. The guard is in good condition, with just a bit of rust from age. The handle is in very good condition, the wrappings are completely intact and not budging which is a great sign. The stingray skin grip is in very good shape as well, and has some nice wear to it. The blade is in very nice shape, and it is still very sharp. There is no pitting to the blade at all. Underneath the handle, the blade is marked with two characters. The bottom of the handle is brass. Overall a great sword, message with any questions.
