    Description

    The sword was used by officers. It is very rare.
    At the beginning of 30-ties in XX century, come into existence a military sword of new construction - Shin-gunto. It refered to traditional katana's, used in former centuries by Samurais. This is a typical example of adapting the old ancestral blade to the regulation frame from the times of the II WW. The sword was handmade using traditional methods, in
    beginning
    XX c.The blade is with no reflexion, springy and for battle crossection with
    beautiful
    Hamon. The pivot of the blade is not signed. The body of the handle (tsuka) is wooden, covered by white, coarse-grained ray's leather and enwrapped by cotton strip, under which there are two menukas. Koshirae casted from brass in the form of
    bulky, rectangular, rounded on bugles and wavy shield's borders, ornamented on the surface by relief conception of cherry blossom. The scabbard is wood, covered
    brown leather, no cut, no crack, no bend and in good condition. The sword is in the good condition – it has whole original elements.

    -    the breadth of blade/brand at bottom: 3,2 cm
