DISCOVERY High Performance Crystal Radio Kit SENSITIVE AND SELECTIVE

Description

DISCOVERY is a HIGH PERFORMANCE crystal radio receiver kit, covering the AM broadcast band.  Superb SELECTIVITY is attained through the use of a LOOSE-COUPLED, DOUBLE-TUNED circuit, with two Litz-wire wound, ferrite-loaded tuning inductors.  Optimum SENSITIVITY is achieved through the proper application of impedance matching throughout the circuit, including separate Antenna Loading and Tuning controls, and a switched, tapped audio impedance transformer.  Kit includes a piezo earphone, but the receiver is usable with any audio transducer 8 ohms or higher.
The kit contains all parts necessary to construct the DISCOVERY receiver.  The board is designed to mount in a Hobby Lobby wooden box,
SKU# 662536, not included in the kit.  Construction requires soldering, but is not difficult, and can be completed in a couple evenings of effort.
