Description
Welcome!WHAT IS GREAT ABOUT IT: a unquely beautiful ring in size 9 with a cast base and stunning stones and silver work on the face. It has an intensely beautiful piece of deeply colored natural Morenci turquoise and also a piece of dark red natural coral, and three wonderfully well defined squash blossom flowers as well as four applied raindrops. The work is deeply defined, elegant, refined and exceptionally beautiful. The stones are serrated bezel set, and all of it is hand made and dimensional, while perfectly balanced and low in profile. This is one of the prettiest rings, suitable for a man or a woman, of significant weight and surprising beauty. I don't know who made it; it's unsigned and unique to my experience, but aesthetically fabulous and highly collectible.
CONDITION: terrific vintage, wearable and collectible condition. A very rare very gorgeous, very wonderful old ring. It looks like there's a chip out of the Morenci stone but it seems to be original to the piece, not subsequent damage. The piece shows no wear.
MEASUREMENTS:
• ring size 9
• face size 1" x 3/4"
• weight 31.31grams! hefty for a ring but very balanced and comfortable to wear with the low profile.
• the turquoise measures 10mm x 7mm
• the coral measures 18.4mm x 6.3mm
• unsigned and not marked for metal content but it's sterling silver.
SUMMARY: This ring was collected in the late 50s and was kept on display, so it shows and has had little wear. The detailing on it is fabulous, very well defined,. It looks like a garden; so gorgeous! The natural stones of intense Morenci mine turquoise and deep red coral are combined with a floral theme of squash blossom flowers, detailed and dimensional. It's one of the most aesthetically beautiful and balanced rings, which is so comfortable on the finger. I show it in one picture next to a Dan Simplicio ring, but I don't know who made this and would be happy to hear ideas.
